Seamless Data Intelligence for QR-Based Brand Protection
The Impact
REAL-TIME BRAND INTELLIGENCE FOR STRONGER PROTECTION
Advanced dashboards enabling counterfeit detection, product traceability, and actionable customer insights for global brand security.
The Client
Scantrust is a global brand protection SaaS solution providing an all-in-one QR code solution for some of the world’s most recognizable brands across industries such as luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, electronics, automotive and consumer products. Their software enables companies to assign unique QR codes to every product unit, delivering critical capabilities such as anti-counterfeiting, product traceability, secure documentation, and customer engagement. These QR codes capture real-world intelligence—identifying where scans occur, detecting fraudulent sales channels and surfacing patterns in consumer interaction.
The Challenge
As the platform scaled to support global brand clients, it needed to transform massive volumes of scan data—generated from product-level QR codes—into real-time, actionable insights. These insights had to support multiple use cases: identifying where counterfeit activity is happening, understanding why products are blacklisted, analyzing scan behavior by region or time of day, and providing overall visibility into customer engagement and product movement. Internally, the platform also required robust reporting to support billing, usage tracking, and operational metrics. A critical part of the challenge was finding a powerful analytics engine that could be seamlessly embedded within the existing software—one that could handle large-scale data processing while delivering an intuitive, branded dashboard experience for Scantrust’s users.
The Solution
icCube was embedded directly into Scantrust’s interface, allowing end users to access interactive dashboards and insights without leaving the application. As an example, billing reports formerly made in Tableau have been migrated to icCube and are now a part of the seamless experience of the Scantrust application.
“This switch enhances data representation and ensures better support for future report customizations.”
These dashboards now display detailed anti-counterfeiting data—such as where and when scans occurred, the reason for blacklist flags, and whether scans were verified or suspicious. Clients can analyze patterns by brand, region, or time of day, and access real-time intelligence that helps inform decisions across marketing, sales, and legal teams. In addition, internal users benefit from icCube’s reporting capabilities for areas like billing and usage metrics. Thanks to its flexible architecture and focus on integration, icCube was able to handle large-scale data processing while fitting seamlessly into the Scantrust’s user experience and data infrastructure.
